The festivities of El Carmen are held on 16th July in many Cantabrian municipalities, since she is the patron saint of sailors. However, its celebration is particularly significant in Revilla de Camargo and Suances, to such an extent that the festivities in both localities are declared of Regional Touristic Interest.
